  4. In Mare (14 April 2016): ‘Een hongerloon en betalen voor printen‘. On inequalities between PhD candidates based on appointment status.
  5. In NRC Handelsblad  (24 October 2015): ‘Tijdelijk geld is onzeker geld‘. On the effects of project funding on academic careers.
  6. In C2W (27 March 2015): ‘Promoveren tegen de klok’. As a board member of the PhD Network of the Netherlands (PNN) I was asked why PhD trajectories take longer than anticipated, and what could be done to prevent delays.
  7. In Bionieuws 5 (14 March 2015): ‘Maak mensen bewust van discriminatie’. I was asked about my views on why the percentage of women and men in Dutch science is 50-50 at the start of the academic career, but the percentage of women is (much) lower in the higher positions.
